This was a collaborative project in which we created an asymmetric board game. 4 players act as heroes trying to prevent the rise of the Lich, who one player plays as. The heroes have the choice of 5 separate heroes who all come with their abilities. The Lich can summon monsters that are controlled by them with the sole purpose of being obstacles for the heroes. The heroes' main goal is to destroy the lich's 3 phylacteries to prevent its resurrection while the Lich aims to hold out long enough to rise and rule the world.
This is the first board game I've ever designed. It was interesting to keep in mind all the elements of narrative, game feel, and player experience while creating a tactile and physical game. I plan on expand on this game in the future, with proper models and different villians.
