Undergrowth is a school project in which the goal was to clone an existing game. For this project, my group cloned the introduction level of Hollow Knight while adding our own narrative twist to the game. In this game, You are Ako, a shy but determined boy beginning his journey to return to a home he left long ago. the game highlights a larger story that can be explored if we choose to. For this project, as the programmer, I worked on the text box system using Ink and jumping while mainly focussing on the arrangement of the level and the writing for the NPCs you can interact with.
